Writing Reviews by Avery
This week in second grade my class is writing reviews about books, movies, and places to visit. I’m doing Secret Garden, and Olive Garden. Secret Garden is my favorite book in the whole world. Everybody has at least two books done. I like reviews because people can see what something is like. Some kids are doing Magic Mountain or Tangled.

100th Day and Valentine's Day Video
100th Day and Valentine's Day Video Link
What a fun week we had in second grade with our 100th Day Fashion Show and Valentine's Day party! The t-shirts that the kids modeled down our runway were absolutely adorable! This is one of those activities that I do each year that kids always seem to remember and love.
Our Valentine's Day party was also wonderful! Thanks to so many of our moms who coordinated the games and food, sent items in, and volunteered their time.
Please click on the link above to see a cute video from both days!

Animal Project by Meredith
Last week in 2nd grade we did a project. We had to color in 4 deciduous trees & 4 conifer trees. The deciduous trees were bare and we learned that the conifer tree stays the same no matter what season it is. We also got to pick an animal but it had to be an Ohio animal. I got a raccoon they are very interesting! Then we glued the trees on our poster board. After that Mrs. Hofmann gave us a paper that we had to fill in. We had to fill in what the deciduous tree had to do in Summer, Spring, Fall/Autumn, & Winter. Then we had to fill in what the animal you had did throughout its life. Then we had to glue them between the trees. After that we painted all the trees except Winter. On Winter we glued cotton balls down. Then we had to color a frame to put our animal in. Then all that was left was to write your first & last name. (& I’m also excited for Mrs. Van to come & show us Ohio animals). J By: Meredith

Ohio Animals by Zion
Last week in second grade this lady who works at Ohio national center and her name is Mrs. Van and she showed us a opossum a bat a an owl and when she showed the opossum he kind of looked evil cause he was cranky and this is gross but I’m telling you any ways the bat pooped and then it was moving and it was gone and I almost forgot the reason why she keeps these animals is because if she let them go they’d die.
