Lollipop Adjectives

The students have been working very hard to learn their parts of speech. In second grade, the goal is that students can identify and use nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. We've learned about the first three and will study adverbs in the spring. Hopefully, the Weekly Word Wizard will keep the terms fresh in your child's mind. Last week we had fun wrapping up our study of adjectives by completing "Lollipop Adjectives." Each of the students got a lollipop and then had to describe their lollipop using adjectives. Of course, once they were finished, they got to eat their lollipops!

Adeline was very excited when her dad came to read, The Day the Crayons Quit, last Friday.

December Fun!

We had several Mystery Readers visit us in December!

Jayden's mom came to read to us on Dec.20.

The kids enjoyed listening to Celia's dad read Froggy Gets Dressed.

Sarah's mom read Snowmen at Night and then helped the children decorate snowmen cookies. They really enjoyed this activity! (See the pictures below).
